So, A relative asked me to help with their computer. They upgraded to windows 10 but decided after getting the flashing desktop issue to rollback, So once we had rolled it back all seemed well until we tried loading chrome pages. Certain pages loaded and others didn't I am not experienced in this style of troubleshooting and any help is appreciated.

I am having the same problem. I installed Windows 10, and it destabilized Chrome and wouldn't work with MSOffice. I rolled back to 7, reinstalled chrome & office. (both very messy uninstalls that required removing file by file). Office works. Chrome becomes unresponsive at least once an hour. I can't track down a reason for it to freeze. Usually it is on news sites or help forums. My favorite moment is when it became unresponsive while I was searching "chrome unresponsive"

I've cleared all settings, caches, cookies, tried incognito mode, reinstalled, disabled 3rd party cookies, and anything else I could find suggested online.

Would love a solution because Chrome is my go to browser. Thanks

If you have other issues, then yeah it's a good idea to reinstall windows.
