It takes high-end components to make the kind of products Apple concentrates on, and that drives up the end-price for users.
Is that why iPhones have a whole 1GB of RAM? At least up to the 6 and 6 Plus. The amount of RAM was conspicuously absent from the 6S announcement.

We're not in the junk business

That is a point open for debate, Mr Cook. Wrap your products in as much unibody aluminium as you want, but when you deeply scrutinise your products, their capabilities, their capacities in themselves and compared to competitions, you may find that "junk" is a viable term.

Have to be honest, I am a long term fan of Apple products, I have had every (non S) model since the version 2.
I have to say though, the trend to keep making them thinner and not increase battery life is beginning to get on my nerves.
