What I'm now wondering, if Apple is found guilty with respect to price fixing and then the States come after them for damages, and we know the States want all the money they can get from lawsuits like these to help with their budgets, what sort of payout will be in line for Apple. This could really hurt Apple financially and in the marketplace. This is just bad news for Apple, their stock falling, its CEO a bit out of touch with the market, market share falling, next week probably some additonal bad news.

prosecutors want a win and a big sounding # to parade around in headlines.
if you think a guilty apple would pay the sum total of all monies maid from selling ebooks and then an additional exorbitant punitive damages assessment... well if you believe that then you haven't been paying attention to what happens when corporations misbehave

Actually, I've been paying attention to how many of these lawsuits that have multiple States as plaintiffs have actually paid off. If the Justice Dept. gets a win on Apple here, then Apple really doesn't stand a chance on the civil suit that the States will be pressing because they will have been convicted of price-fixing and then the only thing to do for the States would be to calculate the damages they should be awarded.

He will blame it all on Job's, just wait and see.

Mayor of town x resigns leaves two notes for his replacement, Notes envelope's read "Open for first emergency, Open for second emergency"

Replacement mayor has a crisis and can't fix it fast enough, so he opens the first note. The note read's "Blame everything on me, this will buy you time to fix the problem" He does and it works great.

A year later he has a second crisis and not enough time to fix it so he opens the second note. That note read's "Write two notes."
