jvc amp to rockville equalizer

I have a jvc rx 50-60 reciever ans i went and bought my husband a rockville REQ 42 equalizer for his birthday and we can't figure out how to hook it up can u please help me. I would greatly appreciate it

You can't connect it to the receiver. AV receivers don't have a way to connect an EQ.
Your only option is to connect the analog audio output of an external source (CD player for instance) to the input of the EQ. The output of the EQ connects to a line level analog audio input on the receiver.
