k50IJ replacement battery not recognized

My wife has an Asus k50IJ laptop with a bad battery, it's old. I bought a replacement from newegg which is http/www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0U01FM9451

Original battery specs:
Asus Li-Ion Battery Pack A32-F82 L0690L6
+11.1v/440mAh, 46Wh

Replacement specs:
11.1v/4400mAh

The new battery is not recognized and I can't figure out what else to do. I went in to device manager and tried deleting the battery and restarting and having it go through all that, but it was useless. Could it be a bad battery or do I need to do something to make it work? I've never tried replacing a laptop battery before so I'm not sure where to go from here....

Some ASUS batteries have ID chips and your laptop may not be recognizing the new one.

If the battery has a reset button you could try the reset detailed above on the new battery and it may match the battery to the laptop.
