Keyboard forcing shutdown?

My Acer aspire v5-571 has started misbehaving. Certain keys on the keyboard (specifically L, comma and period) cause the laptop to shut down immediately with no warning or shutdown screen. Sometimes this happens as soon as I press the key, sometimes it happens only after I've used either shift key. I haven't spilled anything on it and I've scanned my computer and found no viruses. Being a student, I have limited laptop tech knowledge and limited funds. Can,anyone help?

I'd start with reseating the laptop connectors, if that does not fix it, replace the keyboard. Also try with an external keyboard just in case the shutdown is just a coincidence.
