Keyboard lights randomly working

Hello, I've bought Asus GL552JX laptop 2 months ago and I've installed ATK package for keyboard lights and it was working all fine till few weeks ago but now it got all annoying.
When I turn on my laptop and put password ( WIn 10) sometimes keyboard turns on, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't I have to restart it for it to turn on. It's not a big problem but i would like to know what can I do to fix it. Thank you !

There is a keyboard shortcut to switch on/off while in windows .Fn+ F4? i also read that updates to pc can interfere with it functioning,could try ATK uninstall and reinstall too
