Keypad not working

My asus laptop keypad has stoped working properly i think it may be the language settings as i have tried all the options i have on my keypad because i have a administers setting password i have to put my password in to get to the normal log in page then do my password again because of this i have no access to my laptop because i need to type my password in to get to the login page were i can change language settings ...... any help would be much apreciated thanks

don't use the keypad, use the # on top of the letters
