Keys not working nor on external keyboard

A series of keys aren't working on my laptop and when plugging in an external keyboard these same keys won't work. I have tried updating drivers and uninstalling drivers and it had no effect. Any suggestions?

I would try a hard reset first. Remove the battery and charger, and then press and hold the power button for 30-60 seconds.

You also might make sure that the keyboard settings location is set to whichever country you live in.

If it won't work on either the attached keyboard or an external one, you may well have motherboard problems. I would look into a repair/replacement.

If it is under warranty, contact the manufacturer.
