kill process software needed

Is there some software that will kill an application that just won't end no matter what you do to it, stop it, kill it...whatever. Task manager doesn't work for this issue.

If so, what is the name of it?

you could end explorer.exe then new task explorer.exe again usually refreshes it or the best bet would prolly be windows support tools. Install that from your XP cd then download the kill.exe and run that through the support tools like so - kill -f processname

In task manager, why dont you just terminate the process? It stops any process more or less straight away.
