html video output???? You must mean HDMI. html is script coding for internet websites, etc. (HyperText Markup Language). HDMI is a video connection format (High Definition Multimedia Interface).

That outta the way, let's assume you're talking HDMI. When you plug in the HDMI cable to the back of your laptop and the other end to an open INPUT port on your TV or monitor, you may need to extend or duplicate your display to make it appear. (on your Alienware laptop, you need to hold the Fn key (to the left of your spacebar) and press the F8 key (above the number keys on the top row). This will pull up the display configuration menu. Configure it the way you want, and you should be good to go.
