laptop battery draining

i bought a lenovo ideapad 320 laptop about 10 days back and suddenly today battery started draining heavily. It came down from 100 to 10 percent in just 1 hr and till yesterday it gave backup of around 4 hours.what might be the problem?
moreover laptop is taking a lot of time to start since this problem started.

Sounds like you may have something on the device that is using a lot of resources and power. Have you run good deep virus and malware scans? Also, any recent program installs?
