Laptop BLACK screen/ No display with Power light & Fan ON

Hello Guys,
I am using Dell Studio 1555. Installed Windows 8 two days back & it was working awsome.
But suddenly when I started laptop in the morning it showing Black screen. (No Display) (Not even Showing Dell Logo or Bias setup screen. totally Black as in Power OFF state), Where as Power button is ON & fan n HDD is also working. BUT NO DISPLAY.

PLZ HELP me OUT.

Options Tried >>

1. Removed battery & charger , reconnected & cmos also reset. (NO USE)

2. Checked Display by POWER Button+ D button = shown different colors flashing. (ie. DISPLAY Working).

3. Checked RAM= OK

4. Checked HDD= OK (took backup)

5. Checked connection working fine (As LCD is working anyway ).

is this GPU or Motherboard's problem ??

LAPTOP is NOT UNDER WARRANTY.
Solution plz.....

Its Not showing anything on external display either...

But I am not too sure about whether Processor is working or not, cause cant check fan working or not

Hmmm., if u said that fan is not working it might be the motherboard issue., cause fan is connected with motherboard., as you said no display., power blinks., Fan not working., Extreme most possibly be mother board Issue., cause if it is processor at least it will make some noise or fan will surely work.,.,

Hi Guys, i m Ashok, i m using Studio 1555 since Aug 2009. Windows 7.

5 days ago i faced same issue, got it repaired today, the graphics chip was damaged, repairing guy recalled the chip with some machine and it worked, system is running like new one. get your laptop repaired by someone who repairs on chip level. Reason behind this graphics chip damage was RAM, it was repeating this problem with chip after getting flashed 2-3 times, then the repair guy also changed the RAM. Now its working fine. Hope i'll use this laptop for long with less repair in future.

I had same prob....i tried new windows installation on my dell inapiron 15r n5110 but prob.not solve i tried everything bias version upgrade downgrade also ....thn i decide to disassemble my laptop....i download disassemble video of my laptop....thn i clean dust n place cmos battery to slot...and after tht my laptop work fine....
