laptop cannot turn on

Hi,my Asus laptop model A43S won't turn on. When i turn the power on the light on the laptop is turn on,the adapter light is also turn on however there is still black screen and no fan sound and hardware sound at all. I have tried unplug the adapter, take out the battery and push the power button for 30 seconds. Then. plug the adapter back and push the power button, but my laptop is still cannot turn on. Maybe it is the motherboard problem?Any help please?

I had this problem with my Toshiba L875 and I did exactly what you did (take the battery out and hold down the power key for a long time) I eventually found the problem was a flat battery where the power plug was not fully inserted in the mains side and I hadn't noticed the battery level. I shut the lid whilst I went for lunch and when I opened the lid everything was off. When I pressed the power button the green light flashed 5 times and then nothing. Could this be your problem too?
