Okay well title says it, I'm looking for a laptop with pretty decent gaming capabilities. Currently I have a pretty hefty gaming desktop that I built myself but I've never even bothered with laptops my whole life. I'm basically going to be buying the laptop so I'm not so confined to 1 spot if I want to do some gaming, getting kind've tiresome after the years.

Now the games I plan on playing on it are - World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, Oblivion, Dragon Age, Champions Online, etc etc. Games pretty much around that level of performance. And maybe the occasional CoDMW2.

As for my price.. If I go with Alienware I have a 1500$ budget with everything included. I was looking at the M15X which I thought would handle those games just fine even without upgrades on it aside from bumping the RAM up to 4 gigs.

Thanks for any input.

Hi there,

The Alienware is a great option for a gaming laptop. It has excellent graphics and sound. Another option for you is the Asus G51JX-A1. It has 6 GB of RAM, an Intel Core i7-720QM processor, a 15.6" screen, and it weighs just over 7 lbs. It is very portable for a power gaming laptop.

What do you think of the Asus?
