Laptop crashes when on battery

Hi all,

My laptop (Dell XPS 13 L322X) crashes randomly when on battery power.

This is what I've tried so far without any results:

- Update the drivers
- Update BIOS
- Reinstall Windows 10
- Install Ubuntu
- Replace the battery with a new one from Dell
- Ran a Mem Test and Disk Test, all passed

It looks like the only option left is to test the GPU? But it's all integrated in the motherboard so I would have to get a new motherboard / CPU/ GPU / RAM module and I have no idea where to order it from.

Have you guys got any ideas of what I could try next?

if have or can borrow an external monitor compatible with your laptop to see if the same thing happens on the monitor because if doesn't happen then is a screen issue.

If it works on ans external it's not the graphics card. It's something in the screen or even an LCD cable.

if monitor works ok & the laptop is not being moved then not the screen's video cable but the screen itself is the issue.

I had an issue with a laptop with the same symptoms. It turned out to be a bad LCD cable. The LCD cable is attached to the Mobo at one and and the screen on the other end.

It could also be the inverter.
