Laptop dies after 5mins of game-need help accessing the BIOS

i used to play with perfect image (low settings usually, in any games, but i still enjoyed it and was happy), not a little bit of lag at all, 40 frames per second and i still do if i manage to play a match in my favourite shooter, which is pretty hard since my laptop, as the title suggest, just shuts down after between 5-20 mintues in game.
No Blue Screen of Death, just a reboot after 3 seconds with the usual windows message of: "Windows did not shut down correctly [etc] choose boot mode- Safe, Safe with internet or normal..."

.. in the event log it says that Event 41 Kernel Power is the fault, a critical error.

After the first time this happened i did this:
-Removed the battery.
- I cleaned up the fans very good.
-Apllied fresh thermal paste.
-Even bought a freakin new power adapter with 40euros...

Also this happens with all games... Hawken, Skyrim, Ghost Recon Phantoms, Blacklight Retribution etc...

I believe it is the BIOS's fault (but of course suggest anything you think), because it might be messed up... i've been trying to access Advanced Power Managment settings in my Fujitsu Lifebook AH531 BUT i cannot see no such options in the BIOS, after pressing f2... i just see the option called Windows 7 (just to boot normally) and an option called Windows 7 Memory Options (or somehting) both of which are not what i need...

My specs are:

Operating System: Windows 7 64bit
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
RAM: 4Gb
Graphics: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000

That is it peoples. I hope if someone has a solution or been through this before can help me out i would appreciate any information.

Sounds like it is overheating. Can you verify that the fan is running despite being clean? Can you monitor temps?

Agreed. Overheating usually prompts the computer to shut down completely to cool off, but some systems default to a reboot instead.

Use a software utility to monitor your temperatures. You may also want to make note of the voltages, as it's possible this is an electrical issue and the games are causing the laptop to draw more power, thus tripping something and consequently rebooting.

You can monitor things outside of your games also. My suggestion is to clean the laptop; take an air compressor to the vents and thoroughly blow out dust and debris caught inside. You may need to apply new thermal compound to the laptop's CPU also.

my temps are normal outside of games, as it says up in the useless things i wrote, it shuts when i play games... also since yo. are bored to read heres a copy paste

im trully sorry for acting like a douche... its just that im very nervous about this wholething and i dont have no money and afamily member is very anoying and creats trouble over this with stupid attitude and doesnt understand anything i try to do or explain... thinks i broke the laptop while this started on its own and doesnt undetstand im trying tofix it... now about the graphics i tried updating, didnt work... can someone help me at least take a look in the bios? as i said i cant find nothing when i press f2 just two uselessfor me options no power no nothing... i registered and asked in the fujitsu forumd but no one helps

i just ran FurMark GPU stress test and after 2 mins my laptop rebooted just as in games... what does that mean?

Nope, no points. But I will give you one for the apologetic post.

Furmark puts unrealistic stress on the GPU. It's not really good for testing for problems. The reason I had mentioned that you can monitor your temps outside of gaming or benchmarking is because if your idle temps are high, then it's likely a problem with the cooling system.

Don't take offense to this: Double check your work. I say this because we service a LOT of laptops here and we see problems arise from people that take matters into their own hands. Sometimes all it is is that the thermal compound wasn't applied correctly, the heat sinks were not seated properly, things are still dirty (we had this happen recently after a REPAIR SHOP claimed they cleaned a laptop sent to us), etc.

hello again and I really hope you accept my apology mate... I just ran BurnInTest again which tested RAM, heat, 2D graphics, sound, CPU and Disk (D for the whole procedure which is 15 minutes with no errors at all and the temperatures wouldn't go above 72° (Celsius) at all. But! When I tested the 3D graphics exclusively alone (a game landscape appears and planes fly over a river and trees all 3D) after 50secs-1min... my laptop shut down and reboots, just like that, bam, instantly like someone pulled the Cable out. Just like when I launch a game. No warning or sign it's gonna happen appears at all. What is wrong?

Sounds to me like you have a bad iGPU on that i5 of yours. Try running Intel's XTU application (filter the results for your OS): https/downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&keyword=xtu

HOPEFULLY the i5 doesn't need replaced. Those mobile chips are kind of pricey.
