I have a Lenovo G510 and this problem started around the end of December.

Whenever I try to turn on the laptop it takes quite a while for it to turn on, usually around 5-10 minutes. Like not even boot just plain turn on. I press the power button and nothing happens on screen, it just remains as if it were off. However, the power indicator turns on and the fan and hard drive light turns on for a second then turns off. Another thing to note is that the area where the fan is gradually becomes hot. Like hot air isn't coming out, the area where the fan is gets warmer and warmer. Usually when the area gets a bit hot and the laptop hasn't booted yet I just turn the laptop off, let it cool, then try again. When the laptop finally turns on, it's not slow at all. It goes through the loading screen pretty fast and programs open just as fast as if nothing were wrong with it.

So I'm not sure if it's a software problem or a hardware problem but can anyone please help?
