hey guys i am thinking of connecting an external gpu to my dell inspiron 3521 will it work ???

Solution
No. Theoretically you could get a USB 3.0 to graphics setup, but the laptop doesn't expose a fast enough bus to drive serious graphics. You would use something like this: dell inspiron 3521
Plus, enclosures to run a real "graphics card" externally are pretty expensive.

Exactly what do you want to accomplish? If we knew, maybe we could help you.

Pretty sure they just want to be able to game without having to buy a complete rig or a new laptop. I was looking into the same thing before I built a rig.

i have seen videos in which wireless card on the motherboard is removed to connect external video card dock and gpu is connected on that slot and is powered by a psu
