Hi,
Since it's a new laptop having a hardware problem would be the last thing you'll be thinking of. Please do try these basic troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then observe if the same problem will persist or not.
- Next is to make sure that your laptop has the latest BIOS version that you can download from the manufacturer site of the laptop.
- And lastly, do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics card driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related the graphics card.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver from the manufacturer site of the GPU.
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- If all these will not work I would suggest reinstalling Windows as well.
