Laptop for Audio Recording

Keyword RECORDING, not editing. I have a desktop with an i7-8700k for editing. The one issue is that my desktop is just too loud for recording voice-over. I am using this mic https/www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT2020USB-Cardioid-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B00B5ZX9FM and I'm looking for a cheap, and most importantly QUIET laptop that I can plug the mic and a flash drive into, record my voice using Audacity or a similar program, save to flash drive, and move to my desktop for editing.
My question is, can a cheap processor or other hardware component negatively affect the quality of an audio recording? Why even bother with a computer? https/www.sweetwater.com/c1006--Portable_Recorders The $200 Zoom has inputs for external mics if you want to use one. While you may need to replace or buy another XLR mic, the cost will be the same as getting a laptop and it will be easier to use if all you are doing is recording.

You need an external audio interface. To build-in sound cards in laptops or desktops are not good enough. There are sound cards such as Focusrite Scarlett that will have excellent recording sound.
