Laptop for college/gaming?

Don't know where else to look for this. I have a bit under $2000 for a gaming laptop that will also go with me to college this fall. I have found one that looks good but I wanted to ask others first

The ASUS G series are generally high quality machines. If you're looking for it as a college machine, though, the battery life/general bulkiness may be an issue. In terms of specifications, you could probably find something as fast at a lower price from a different manufacturer. However, it specs are great for gaming and the bulkiness means it'll be well cooled.

It is a good laptop but I would suggest in getting a barebones laptop from xotic pc. They have a good range of laptops that can be modified to your liking and they are cheaper than branded pc.

Also could you let me know what games you play.
