As my title reads, I'm looking for a laptop (preferably windows 8 w/ touchscreen) that can handle the task of editing GoPro videos. My only other notes are that I would like it to be a full quad-core i7 (not clocked-down for battery conservation) and my absolute top budget is around $1500 USD.

P.S.-If it's possible, it would be great if it could be an ultrabook, that portability would be great.

Will you be using the GoPro CineForm (GoPro Studio) software to edit or some other editing program? These are the requirements to run GoPro Studio:

"Minimum System Requirements
Operating System
Windows® XP SP3, Vista, 7, 8
CPU
Intel® Core 2 Duo™
Recommended: Intel Quad Core™i7 or better

Graphics Card
Graphics card that supports OpenGL 1.2 or higher

RAM
4GB or greater

Hard Drive
Minimum: 5400 RPM internal drive
Recommended: 7200 RPM drive
If external, USB 3.0 or eSATA Minimum: 5400 RPM internal drive

QuickTime
Version 7.6 or greater

Note: For systems below the minimum hardware recommendations, performance may degrade, but software will most likely continue to function. GoPro Studio is not available for Linux, iOS or Android devices at this time.

It is highly recommended that you use the latest graphics drivers directly from the graphics card manufacturer."

You might want to look at the Lenovo IdeaPad Y410p (http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y410p/?sb=:000001C9:0000ED9D:). It's not an ultrabook should do the job. Not sure if the processor is clocked down or not.

This looks like a very good laptop and I think this could be the one. I checked, and the i7-4700mq CPU that it comes with is a full-fledged qua core and doesn't seemed to be dumbed down. Thanks a lot.
