Hi,
My friend is looking for a laptop to use in her upcoming uni course. She is doing a Graphic design/art kind of thing.

Ive been told she needs to be able to use photoshop and it has to be good enough 'for graphic design'

so she is looking for some suggestions, and i said i would ask on here

thanks in advance
Daniel

Well, a laptop good for graphic design is a MAC by default LOL.

Find any laptop in your price range with a i5 HQ model CPU and a decent video card, will be a bit tough for a 600 budget. Maybe an Acer like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834315164&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Gaming+Laptops-_-N82E16834315164&gclid=CPy3-IrO3M4CFRc9gQodfbMDpw&gclsrc=aw.ds

sadly she wasn't keen on spending too much money. Is it possible to get a decent macbook for around £600?

Edit: she isnt keen on macbooks, is there a decent windows alternative?

Photoshop doesn't need specific 3D feature unless she'll be doing mostly importing 3D files then discrete graphic card is mandatory, however having fast and large VRAM helps a lot especially in multi layer effects. So a dual or quad 6th gen core Intel i5 mobile will do
Toshiba Satelite
