1. What is your budget?
Looking around $1100, but maxing at $1500.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
~15.6 inch, but willing to go smaller.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
I'm happy with 1080p but more is always welcome.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
I already have a powerful desktop, so just portability.

5. How much battery life do you need?
Gaming I'd like 2-3 hours. Light use (internet, word processing, media) I'd like 5-6, enough to get me through a work day, but more is always better.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
I mainly play CSGO, League of Legends, Street Fighter V, and the occasional Dota 2 game. Nothing too demanding, and I'm willing to sacrifice visual fidelity for FPS. 60 is important to me.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Possible video editing, but mainly usage of programming tools (IDEs, VCS, ect) and light gaming.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
I would like an SSD of at least 128gb, and HDD of 500GB. More HDD is fine.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
Amazon.com
Newegg.com

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
As my gaming workload isn't intensive I'd like to keep this for ~3-4 years. I want it to get me through college.

11. What kind of optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
None

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Open to all

13. What country do you live in?
US

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
Order of importance:
Battery Life > Gaming > Noise Levels > Thinness

If I've left something out let me know.
Thanks in advance!!

I'm seeing good things about the Razer Blade, but it's a bit over my budget. I'd be willing to take that dive on the perfect laptop for my needs, but I'd like to see what this forum has in mind.

Thank you for the reply. I looked on the newegg page and googled reviews but I can't seem to find any information on web surfing battery life. I found that both have about 1.5 hr in-game battery life, but that has me assuming the web browsing life is between 3-4 which doesn't work for my needs. They are very close though, but battery life is king for me with gaming second.
