Hello everyone !

My sister just killed her old Lenovo, and my parents would like to buy her a new computer. They asked me for advise and i really don't have that much experience when it comes to laptops/ultrobooks. I've been looking at some of Asus's ultrabooks, they look pretty powerful and also payable...
But well i'm used to "real" computers :D and in generally i think many of the laptops dosen't look powerful, yet you need to pay alot !

So can anyone recommend a good laptop for a student, she is not playing, but mostly use it for surfing the internet and doing school stuff.. i really hope you guys can help me ! the budget is around 900-1100...

I reccomend this HP laptop. HP is a quality laptop brand and it offers a lot for the money.

i5-4200U processor (good graphics for everyday use)
Intel 4400 graphics (good graphics for everyday use)
8GB RAM (plenty of RAM for school/everyday use)
750GB Hard Drive (plenty of space for school files and documents)
Windows 8 (most modern OS)
14" touch screen (big, but not too big)

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the reply!
Well it looks like a nice computer, it's just only a 2,60 GHz dual core, looks a bit slow to me.. I don't now.. just in a computer i think a a quad core would be more normal, but again i'm not used to laptops...
Thanks again

For an ultrabook, especially one that is 13.3", you will not be able to find a quad core. However, this dual core is MORE than sufficient for school / web / MS word. You could even manage light gaming such as minecraft but I doubt she will do that.
