Hi there,
I'm looking for a laptop for some very basic video editing.
I'm based in the UK and I travel a lot with my work (domestic travel that is!)
I make amateur videos in my spare time which I'd like to edit while I'm away.
Currently I have a self built watercooled and over clocked i5 desktop at home that I use on conjuction with Adobe Premiere, flash and after effects.
This performs very nicely.
I store all the files (720p HD files) on an external HDD with the Adobe project files and any relevant library's.
What I'd like to do is get a small laptop to do some light editing on the go (cut up files, record narration and draw in flash) with all the final rendering being done at home on the PC.
I've got a budget of around £250-300 to spend.
What I'd like to know is:
Would a cheap i3 or Pentium based system be ok for this kind of light editing?
I'm not expecting miracles but just want something workable seeing as the bulk will be done at home.
Thanks in advance all
