Hi guys, I've reverted back from Windown 10 to Windows 7 because basically I couldn't stand Win 10 and I've encountered a problem. Basically my laptop runs for approx 10 mins or so then the screen goes black although the machine is still running....but is totally unresponsive. Powering off is the only option I have...

I've tried a complete fresh re-install and the same issue persists.

Any ideas guys?

Check if link state power management is on, which is in power options.

1. Click on control panel.
2. click on hardware and sound.
3. navigate to power options and click on it.
4. click on "change plan settings"
5. click on "change advanced power settings"
6. Navigate to "PCI Express" and click on it.
7. Now set link state power management to OFF.

Nope. Still does it although it doesn't happen in safe mode as I backed up my HD in safe mode and it was running for hours.

When I reboot an error code appears, shall I post that?

If its not occurring in safe mode, then uninstall graphics driver, windows should now install and run the graphics card with its generic vga driver, use the laptop for awhile in normal boot up mode and not safe mode to see if the issue occurs again. If it does not its possible your graphics driver is not installing correctly. Get the latest driver.
