Laptop has died

Hi guys, my Acer Aspire E 11 screen went fuzzy while I was watching a movie. I turned the power off by holding down the power button but then refused to boot up again although the charge light was on. I looked on a thread online that suggested I turn the laptop over and carefully place a paper clip into the battery reset hole. I did this and now when I plug in the power lead there isn't even a light coming on to tell me it's charging. It's completely dead!! Any ideas? Thanks

the fact that it would not turn off leads me to think you have at the least a dead motherboard. hate to say this, but unless you got a warranty, it is probably new laptop time.
