Solved! Laptop HDMI lag

Hi everyone, i have a Dell XPS 15 9570
Every time i connect my laptop to my TV via HDMI, both my laptop and TV start stuttering every 5 second or so(both audio and video). First i thought it was a resolution problem, so i switched from 4k to 1080p(laptop's native resolution) but it kept lagging. Please if any of you guys know a solution help me.

it could be the HDMI cord, the port on the TV or the port on the laptop. I would try a different cord first.

It's not the cord, my brother uses it regularly and he's got no issue, so it must be something with my laptop.

I would check the cord and the ports. Just to be sure.
