I am about to purchase this gaming laptop for business trips. Any suggestions? If I have anything that is overkill or redundant please let me know. Thank you for the suggestions.

For me, that would be way too high a resolution of a screen for a 15.6 or even a 17" display, and for a 970M video card. I'd get a 1080 resolution laptop, you can get smoother play and higher settings and text won't be microscopic. The CPU/Video Card/HD are in line with other gaming spec systems. I just don't think a very high res screen is needed on laptops.
