So I played Burnout Paradise PC today on my laptop. It seems like my onboard video card can take the load so I pushed it to max settings and the CPU temperature went up to 65-67*C, at some point up to 68*C.

Here's my specs:
_i3-4000m ( HD4600 )
_6gb ram
_5400rpm hard drive
_Decent cooling, to me. The fan always pushes out hot air when my laptop is underload and it also stabilizes the core temperature so I guess that's a thumb up :D

I wonder what's the ideal temperature for laptop CPUs, especially for 4th gen intel CPUs. Is my CPU temperature good? bad?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
dont worry the max temp is around a 100C and if the temps become really high there will be automatic throttling

i own an i7 4700hq and the emps reach till 80C

of course this depends on your ambient. mine is around 30- 35 C

DOnt worry , there will be no lifespan decrease / damage
