Laptop loses SSD in Caddy on restart - HP G198ca

I installed a SSD via the odd slot on my laptop, and I have also done this with every laptop I have owned.

If i plug the ssd in while the laptop is on and running the ssd opens up no problem. But If i reboot its gone. Until i take it out and put it back in while its on.

The laptop I am running is the g198ca by HP.

Also please note there are no Sata options in the bios. To make a change to IDE or anything like that.

Hi,

Do try installing the latest BIOS update version that may help in solving the issue.

Once installed do observe your laptop again and see if the same problem will persist or not. If it does still happen I would suggest installing the latest firmware update for your SSD as well that may help.
