Hello,

So this is my problem: my laptop (5-6 moths old) is making clicking noises.

I've serched on the Internet and the two most common answers were:
1 - fan problem
2 - hard drive problem

I think my problem is the hard drive. The strangest part is that I only hear that sound when I download things in uTorrent. I can copy files from the hard drive and I don't listen to that sound neither when I play videogames.

So do you think I'm right or is it some other problem? How do I fix that problem?
Thanks for your attention :)

Ps: I'm new here and I probably posted this to the wrong section and sorry for my English, because I'm portuguese.

Hi, you are in the right section, what I think, the sound is coming from your hard drive. When you download a torrent, due to the slow download the head of your drive will park, and this is the noise you hear. When it's time to save the data received, the head will move to write the data, and will park due to the slow download. But I speculate on this.

PS: sorry for my bad english, I'm a French Canadian.

Thanks to the people who posted this. I was getting the 'clicking while using Utorrent' issue and I was going "Oh hell.... my hard drive is going bad!" even though SMART and Seatools said that it was fine.
