Laptop motherboard connections

Hello Everyone,

I have a Samsung NP300E5C laptop.
On the motherboard there is an empty port, and I am wondering what kind of device can be plugged into it. I cannot figure it out.

It looks almost identical to the standard connection for an HDD or DVD drive, but it is about two pins smaller and so the drive connections cannot be installed in it.

Would love to find out what it is.Even if it lets me install some small device, it would still be helpful to know.

Just did a count. While the HDD connector has 12 pins, this smaller one only has 10. I cannot figure out its purpose still.
