laptop motherboard replacement?

I want to get a better GPU for my laptop but its soldered onto the board, I was wondering if I can just replace the motheroard with a different but more poweruful GPU, keep in mind my CPU, RAM, HDD, wifi card etc are all removable

Yes you can. You just have to find the board for the exact laptop model and drop it in.

If you have never worked on laptops before, you may want to get professional help with it.

Personally, I would not consider this worth the money or effort though.

that option costs much more, my laptop costed $950 and it only has a GT 740M, I would just like to change that to at least an 850m

I think a new laptop motherboard is going to cost you a lot more than you imagine.

You should search for the price before you get too far down this road.

I found some motherboards for my same laptop with a GTX 850m inside only difference is that it is blue but the laptop that it was inside looks exactly like mine
