Solved! Laptop not charging when I plug the charging cable

I have an Acer v5-552 and for some time when I plug the cable to charge, the battery doesn't charge and eventually the laptop hibernates. During this, the battery led blinks and I hear a continuous sound, as battery cable is put and removed continuously. The only way to charge my laptop is when i close the lid and put it to sleep.

Is it the original charger from Acer? Looks like the charger is faulty/can´t get enough juice into the battery while the laptop is on or the power jack of the laptop is lose.

It is the original charger. If we assume the charger is not faulty or the jack isn't loose, is there anything else I could check?
