Hi i have dell xps x14z bought in 2014-2015
And need some advice...

Turning on > first bios boot > windows logo startup > the fan is suddenly turning off > abrupt auto shutdown when mid windows shutdown.

I've tried putting out the internal battery, ram, cmos battery, reseat the hdd, changing the thermal paste, cleaning all the dust in the fan, changing the charger... all lead to the same problem

So my amateur verdict would be the faulty hdd or the motherboard itself.
What do you guys think, before i brought the notebook to the technician?

Solution
Sounds like a bad motherboard, it's very rare for a drive or drive cable to cause the system to turn off. Pretty easy to find out the issue though with another drive, don't need to pay someone else to do it considering you already were able to open the system to reseat the drive.
