Laptop only displaying a max res of 1024x738

I recently had my HCL me laptop completely reset-which included installing a clean,new version of win 7 ultimate and reformatting the drive. after it was booted up, it only displayed a max resolutions of 1024x768 instead of 1366x768. please help.

Hi

Check in device manager what graphics chip driver is installed
I do not know if that laptop is intel or AMD based
I suspect you need to down load from the manufactures site the correct windows driver
I presume you have 64 bit version of Windows 7 get the correct driver to match windows
This should have been done as part of the re installation but time is money
