Laptop overheating after cleaning also

hello everyone,my pavilion dv6 7040 tx LAPTOP keeps on overheating.When i m just browsing or the laptop is idle the temraptur of the CPU and The GPU is between 70-80 *c and when playing games like even counter strike it hits 100*C and turns off. I have cleaned it 4 days back and removed the old thermal paste and i didnt applied it because it does nothing to my system and i dont think it should overheat this much.the specs are as follow-

Nvidia gt 630 2gb ddr3 graphics card
Intel I7 3610 QM 3rd generation processor
12gb ddr3 ram

PLSS HELP

rkj347, they put the paste there for a reason so reapply it.
