Laptop parts upgrade questions (DOUBT), please HELP

I have an (brought in 2012) HP 630 notebook. here are the specs:

But now it's 2014, and it's perfomance is low, so I am thinking of upgrading it's some components. I am feeling excited by thinking of this!
So here is the main question:
Should I only upgrade the HDD to 512GB Samsung 840 EVO & RAM to an 8GB DDR3-1866 Transcend JetRam; or should I upgrade the processor too. If I need to upgrade the processor (if RAM & HDD to SSD upgrade isnt enough), then can you suggest a good processor (turbo boost clock should be upto 3.0 or more GHZ) under 400$?
Any suggestions/replies/comments appreciated,

You CANNOT upgrade the CPU of a laptop just like that. It is soldered on the motherboard. You can buy a new mobo but that would be the cost of buying a new laptop. Better buying off a Gaming PC. The only thing you can upgrade is the RAM. You can have a maximum of 8GB RAM. 4GBx4GB.

If you're looking for a laptop that can be upgraded then I'd suggest sager, the NP8278-S's CPU, GPU, RAM are not soldered on the motherboard. The problem is actually buying a mobile CPU/GPU as you won't find any on amazon nor Nvidia's or Intel's official website. The support at xoticpc said that they'd do the service if I wanted a new CPU/GPU in the future and only if I bought it from them. If you buy from sager you have to reach sager which I think they'll do the service too, I'll probably email them later. The guy at xoticpc said an 880m alone would cost about 600$ + the little service fee which may be a little bit too expensive. (although by when your 870m runs slow it'll probably be cheap, and a 600$ one will probably be 10x times faster )

That's 1600MHz isn't it? If that's the case I tend to believe it'll be slowed down to 1333MHz, but if the voltage is the same it should work.

what seems to be the limiting factor? Intel HD Graphics and sometimes the i3 2310m under high load. RAM and SSD won't really do much in that case and the perfomance shouldn't be quite noticeable (thing should load quicker thanks to the SSD, and better multitasking thanks to more RAM). Hard video editing and gaming won't really see quite a difference though.

Yes, they do! I just emailed Sagernotebooks directly and the answer: i7 4810mq 420$, 4910mq 605$, 4960x 1.095$. Nvidia 870m 440$, 880m 620$ which is indeed pretty expensive (I don't know if it'll be worth it in a few years, let's just wait. But yes, it is possible and as easy as just opening and inserting a new GPU).

I am not planning to buy a laptop, read my above question carefully. I have asked whether the HDD to SSD upgrade & the RAM upgrade will be enough, or not. BTW, I have a question. in the specs of the Transcend RAM I have suggested above, the memory clock is shown 800MHZ ! So, my lappy has a 1333MHZ Samsung memory on it ( as shown in the CPUZ report ), if I upgrade to the Transcend memory, will it make it slower? This is all so confusing,

What I'm saying is your better off buying a new laptop then putting 400.00 into a 2 year old computer. A SSD will speed up bootup times and ram will help a bit, You won't see much difference. My last laptop I upgraded at purchase it is a i7 2630QM with a 1 tb HD and 8 GB of ram. I added a 256 GB hd and moved the HD to the 2nd bay. I first added the ram to 12 gb (I saw big speed increase) so then I went to 16 gb and from 12 to 16 wasn't noticeable. I changed out then wireless card for a Intel card. I did right after purchase.

Bottomline you won't be able to get the perfomance of today even low priced systems so upgrading won't get you much benefit.
