Note: this is a repost seeing as I got no answers on the last post.
So, I was trying to fix my old Dell Inspiron 1564's overheating issue, and while I was able to do that I found out some cables were not connected correctly (I might post about that problem to, maybe) and when I was trying to latch the tiny ribbon cable to the the slot on the motherboard it inexplicably broke off and I couldn't find it. Because its the slot on the motherboard, and not the one on the power button panel I doubt I can find a replacement. is there some way i can power it on without the button, or perhaps make a makeshift button myself?
