Hi.
My laptop is having problems as you can see by the title. In the home screen my laptop always selects something to the ut-most right of the screen.

Say, if
in your homescreen you put Fraps to the left of Steam. You click Fraps and then the computer will highlight Steam.

And everytime I click mid-paragraph while writing/typing something, the typing cursor will immediately start running off to the last letter in the paragraph. Making this impossible to edit school work.E.G. Essays

The typing issue appears in every website.
The homepage issue only in homepage.

And when I right click my mouse button always stays down. But my mouse is pretty old so........

Hi,

Are you using a USB mouse in replacement for your Touchpad? Do start by trying another USB mouse that may be the cause of the problem. If it doesn't work try to disable the Touchpad first. On your keyboard there should be shortcut keys that should disable it (fn+F7 or a key that has a small mouse icon). Here are more troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Run a complete virus/malware scan as well. Here's a link for guide and tools you can use:

- If you're using a touchscreen laptop disable the touchscreen driver first from Device Manager.
- If all these will not work I would suggest running a factory reset.
