Solved! Laptop runs games a lot worse than when I first bought it

My Acer Aspire V5-591G is lagging while playing games that were otherwise running fine before. CPU: Intel I7 6700HQ GPU: GTX 950M
I checked and games are running on the correct GPU. Please help.

I think the problem is from the CPU/GPU overheat. Do you have the laptop cooler to cool the laptop? From one review, they said the laptop used only one fan to cool the cpu and the GPU. http://laptopmedia.com/review/acer-aspire-v15-v5-591g-review-an-elegant-workhorse/

Yes I have one. I use it whenever I game as well. There's a slight difference, but not much.

None. Scanned It with Malwarebytes and windows defender as well

clean the laptop from the inside. there might be dust stuck in the fan
