Laptop screen is showing hard drive is not there will not power on.

HP laptop 17 did not turn except the screen displaying no hard drive- brand new 1/17

if it is still under warranty, you should contact HP. If the drive has in fact failed, they should replace for you. My uncle had this issue several times with a built to order HP laptop, they finally replaced it with a newer model after 3 hard drive failures / replacements.
