Laptop screen keeps turning off and on

Ok, so I've searched through a lot of threads and I could not find an answer to the solution.
My laptop screen keeps blinking, turning off and on, all of the functions of the laptop keep running but its just my screen that's bugging me, I feel like I'll get an epilepsy attack, its basically 1 second on, flash black, 1 second on, flash black etc etc. Can anyone help me please?

if have or can borrow an external monitor to see if it does it too because if it does then is a videocard problem & if not then the screen needs to be replaced.

Ohh ye, I forgot to mention, I tried to plug in another monitor and it was working normally.. :/ I dissambled the display on my laptop and checked the cable that's plugged on the backside of the display, it's firmly connected but I didn't find enough time to disassemble the casing of my laptop(where that club goes into, that might be a problem too?)

if not touching the laptop at all but the screen still blinks means it is the screen itself that is the problem.

So the only fix is to replace the entire screen?

as the screen does it & the external monitor doesn't plus if you are not touching the laptop but it still does it means the screen is dying. what is the make & model# of your laptop?

It is an Acer Aspire V3-551G

Thanks for the link mate! 😀 I will check that cable out again since Ill be cleanig my laprop, just to eliminate that as a problem
