Laptop Screen not working

Yesterday i turned my laptop on, and got no picture. The backlight was still working though.
After a system restore, the screen began to work perfectly fine.

Today there is no picture again.

Doesnt seem like a fault with the screen, for some reason its not recognizing it


Troubleshooter is showing,
Generic PnP Monitor not working properly
Digital Flat Panel (1024x720 60hz) not working properly
Hardware changes might not have been detected.

Graphics over heated? Beware of soldered graphics chip. What laptop is it (make&model)?

Cant be overheating. The screen doesnt work when i put the laptop on, cold.


I've tried reinstalling graphics drivers but it wont permanently fix it.

The only way im managing atm, is by turning the laptop on, then doing a system restore to a random point, and it works.
Or by installing a program or something, restarting and it works.
