Laptop screen problem "The screen turns on but no light."

Hi All

I have this weird issue with the laptop screen.
"The screen turns on but no light." This means if I inspect screen in the sunlight or using a flashlight I see the graphics are drawn on the screen. But I cant see without since there is no illumination.

Now I don't know what type is my screen. LED or CCFL.

Please guide me what could be wrong.

Is there a function to increase/decrease brightness on your screen? That had happened to me once on my laptop...I didn't realise i was holding down the brightness key, turned all the light off and wham! An hour of trouble I could've saved myself :lol:

ok I am not a girl!!! 😀

The thing is when i power on my laptop it turns on with a siiiiiii noise coming from the screen then it screen powers off, but not totally I can see the image its just not illuminated.

The problem which you described was had already occurred with my laptop and the reason is that The florescence lighting system of your laptop is broken so you need to take your laptop to care center for the replacement of the florescence lighting.
It would hardly cost you few bugs.Then your laptop will give the illumination on the screen perfectly.
