My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5755g, I disassembled it to clean the fan which involved unplugging most things from the motherboard. After reassembly the laptop turns on, light shows and fan spins for about 4 seconds then stops, light remains on but nothing else happens. Tried booting without hard drive, dvd drive and RAM but got the same result.

I've also tried connecting to an external display with no success.

Any help? Thanks.

Hi,

There's only one thing you can do and that is to make sure that cables and hardware are connected properly into their respective slot and port. Try to disassemble your laptop again just to make sure everything is seated properly specially the ribbon cables that connect the LCD into the motherboard and do also check all other ribbon cable that is located inside your laptop. If all these will not work do also try to reseat the RAM, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure that everything is seated properly into each slot.
