Hello! I have a really strange problem. After I turn it on, my laptop shuts down by itself in a matter of seconds. This thing happened while playing quite a demanding video game. After it shut down, I tried to turn it on but it just wont pass the Dell logo.

This thing happened yesterday aswell. When I was playing a video game, it shut down by itself but it did turn on immediately after that. But today it seems that it's dead forever.

When I try turning it on, the cooler starts spinning at max speed in 1 second and after a short time it turns off completely.

I'm really worried and I have no idea what to do. Thanks for any help!

Its a great chance your processor is over heating.... Try cleaning your laptop's heat sink of dust and replacing your thermal compound over processor. Usually, especially with intel processors, they automatically shut down the system once they exceed a particular temperature so as to prevent processor from burning up.

Pfff after second attempt of disassembling and replacing the thermo paste I finally managed to make it work. Thank you for the answers!

Great... Replacing the thermal compound can be very technical sometimes,,,
